Transatlantic Summer Academy on Sustainability

The Transatlantic Summer Academy on Sustainability is a three-week course on sustainability and intercultural learning for German and US-American students. The next edition will take place from July 20 to August 9, 2017 in Bremen (and Hamburg), Germany, on the campus of Jacobs University Bremen.
The program focuses on (ecological) sustainability, climate change, energy and the environment with an intercultural perspective of international energy politics, environmental ethics and further ecological issues. The learning takes place in workshops, lectures, practical exercises as well as during excursions.
The tuition fee amounts to 400 € for German participants and 600 € for US participants. It covers accommodation with full board, all sessions and material, excursion and trips, social program and costs for travel insurance (accident and liability). In addition, travel costs up to 1.000 € will be reimbursed for participants from the US.
